We are actively seeking a dynamic Physiotherapist with a background in Pilates instruction to join our innovative and multi-disciplinary team. Your Primary Responsibilities

As a Physiotherapist with Pilates expertise, you’ll play a dual role in both the rehabilitation and fitness domains:

  • Carry out comprehensive physical mobility evaluations using a suite of functional testing tools in our advanced treatment facilities.
  • Work alongside patients to establish realistic goals following clinical assessments, building tailored rehabilitation and Pilates regimens accordingly.
  • Conduct individualized or group Pilates sessions, emphasizing therapeutic movement to enhance healing, mobility, posture and injury prevention.
  • Integrate Pilates into patient recovery plans, modifying exercises as needed to accommodate varied physical capabilities or medical restrictions.
  • Employ a wide range of physiotherapy interventions including manual therapy, tailored therapeutic exercises and the application of tools such as shockwave therapy, ultrasound, traction beds and electrical stimulation.
  • Monitor patient improvement continually, adjusting physiotherapy and Pilates strategies based on progress and therapeutic outcomes.
  • Maintain consistent communication and collaboration with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and seamless patient progression.
  • Keep up-to-date, detailed records of each patient’s history, treatment plans and progress using electronic health charting systems.
  • Draft and share essential documentation such as initial consultations, ongoing progress evaluations, discharge summaries and correspondences with third-party agencies like ICBC, WSBC and insurance providers.

Qualifications and Expertise Needed

We’re seeking individuals with a solid foundation in physiotherapy and a specialized skill set in Pilates-based rehabilitation:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or a related clinical discipline.
  • Official registration as a practicing Physiotherapist, including licensure valid in British Columbia.
  • Certification in Pilates instruction is mandatory, with additional preference for practitioners holding PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) or Stott Pilates credentials.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver personalized physiotherapy and Pilates programming that adapts to the fitness levels, limitations and recovery needs of each client.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative spirit for working across departments and clinical specialties.

Ideal Candidate Experience
